Artist rendition of GOSAT-2 in space

GOSAT-2 is the successor to the Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT, "IBUKI") launched in 2009 in Japan. It is under joint development by the Ministry of the Environmemt (MOE), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES). The satellite was launched on October 29, 2018.
